I was at work without steel toe boots. I put down a skill saw and cut my toe off. Is this grnds for dismissal?
The safety guard on the skill saw did not retract when I put the saw down and it ran over my foot and cut the tip of my 2nd toe off. (never trust rented tools…….. And always wear steel toe boots……. )Anyhow, can my employer let me go for having an accident and not wearing proper safety eq?
He should let you leave, but because it was your fault, it really depends how serious it is, and how nice the person will be.
